The Indian School Certificate Examination (ISC) is a comprehensive examination conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). It is designed for students who have completed a two-year course of study beyond the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Examination (Class X) or its equivalent.

Candidates must take English (Compulsory) along with three, four, or five elective subjects of their choice.

Allocation of Marks
Written Theory Papers: 70% to 80% of the total marks in most subjects are allotted to the written exam.
Internal Assessments: 20% to 30% of the marks are awarded for practical work, project reports, and internal assessments conducted by the school and graded by external examiners.
Passing Criteria
Minimum 75% attendance.
A minimum of 35% marks in English and any three other subjects.
